Despite growing up in Solihull, a town just outside of Birmingham, Bellah Mae’s early influences skewed towards rock, Americana and, later, country. Besides this early affinity for country, in the tradition of other Gen Z artists her music defies categorisation, incorporating ever expanding sonic touchstones to create something that feels wholly unique.
